* Sri Mata is my home studio in Maplewood, MO. In 2005, I converted my garage into a lovely Yoga Studio. It has been the site of many meditation retreats, kirtans, workshops, shamanic journeys, women’s circles, pujas, Divine Mother events, Thai Yoga Massages, and, of course, Yoga classes. With the trees, birds, sun and rain so close, the environment feels so nurturing, sweet and sacred. Please contact me for the location!

Restorative Yoga
All levels; No experience required.

Restorative Yoga is the Yin — or feminine essence — of Yoga. Grace and experiences of amrit, the “nectar of the soul,” is accessed through very gentle, passive poses. We learn to treat ourselves with love and gentleness, and let go of the the doer, experiencing pure being. Extended time in the poses allows the body and mind to release tension at very deep levels, opening joints and relaxing tight muscles. Yoga Nidra, the Yoga of deepest rest, poetry, selected readings, visualizations, candles, soothing music.
This class is suitable for all ages and levels of practice including students brand new to Yoga, and people with health or weight issues. You are welcome and cared for here! Approach informed by Iyengar style, Judith Lasater and years of experience!
